SEVENTEEN's S.COUPS & MINGYU take the top spot on Oricon & Billboard Japan... overwhelming popularity

The group SEVENTEEN's new special unit, S.COUPS & MINGYU, has swept major Japanese charts, proving their immense popularity.
According to Oricon Japan on the 9th, S.COUPS & MINGYU's first mini album "HYPE
"VIBES" is ranked No. 1 in the latest "Weekly Combined Album Ranking" (as of October 13th / calculation period: September 29th to October 5th).
The new album also topped the weekly album rankings compiled during the same period, achieving a double crown on Oricon's weekly charts.
Oricon's "Weekly Combined Album Ranking" is based on CD sales, digital LUDA downloads, and streaming counts.
The rankings are calculated by adding up the total points. S.COUPS & MINGYU earned about 105,000 points, including CD sales of about 103,000 copies.
"S.COUPS & MINGYU" also made a name for themselves on the major charts of Billboard Japan. "HYPE VIBES" ranked them as "Top Album Sales"

The new song by S.COUPS & MINGYU, released on the 29th of last month, recorded sales of over 880,000 copies in the first week of release, becoming the highest-selling K-POP single of all time.
It also topped Oricon's "Daily Album Ranking" and China's largest music site QQ Music.
It has also garnered an explosive response overseas, dominating the daily and weekly charts for the EP category of Music's "Digital Best-Selling Albums."
Meanwhile, S.COUPS & MINGYU will be performing a live clip of their record "For you" at 10 PM today (9th).
"You" is a pop song that uses an easy listening sound to convey the message that "anyone can become our friend."
