Park Eun-bin attended the "20th W KOREA Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign Charity Event" held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jongno-gu, Seoul, on the 15th. On her way home, she turned on an Instagram Live broadcast from her car to interact with fans.
Park Eun-bin explained, "I've just finished the W event and am rushing home now," adding, "It hasn't been that long since I attended such an event, but it almost feels like the first time. It was a good experience. The atmosphere was great, and everyone was enjoying themselves."
Subsequently, numerous images surfaced online showing participants at the event drinking champagne, conversing, swaying to music, and enjoying the party in high spirits. This drew criticism, with many pointing out that the scenes were incompatible with the event's purpose of raising breast cancer awareness and amounted to little more than a celebrity social gathering. While footage showed celebrities performing celebratory acts and mimicking viral social media challenges, no signage mentioning the event's purpose was visible.
Singer Park Jae-beom's celebratory stage also drew criticism.
Park Jae-beom passionately performed his hit song ‘MOMMAE’, but the song contains lyrics describing and praising women's bodies, leading to criticism that it was incompatible with the campaign's purpose.
The organisers have now removed footage of the stage performance.
