Fashion magazine Harper's BAZAAR Korea has unveiled pictorials featuring singer Hwasa (MAMAMOO).
Having made her comeback on the 15th with the new digital single "Good Goodbye", Hwasa transformed for this pictorial. Departing from the charismatic, powerful image she typically displays on stage, she sported a short bob hairstyle, showcasing her most serene and natural charm.
In an interview following the pictorial shoot, when asked why she chose the ballad genre for this comeback, Hwasa explained, "This song is one I sang as 'Ahn Hae-jin' rather than 'Hwasa'. I poured my heart into it as if writing a candid letter, not as the glamorous Hwasa on stage, but as a person."
When asked about the most challenging part of the songwriting process, she revealed, "I revised the lyrics hundreds of times, thinking 'Why can't I write more than this?' But then, unexpectedly, there came a day when words just flowed out one after another. Rather than grandiloquent phrases, the words that came naturally from within felt more authentic." She highlighted the line "Goodbye makes us sad, but it should be graceful. Just as I'll pound the ground in regret, you should laugh heartily. Goodbye."
