Hee-chul (SUPER JUNIOR) reveals on TV that he lost nearly 10 centimeters in height due to a broken bone in a traffic accident
SUPER JUNIOR’s Hee-chul revealed that his height has been reduced due to injuries sustained in a past traffic accident.

The 287th episode of KBS Joy's '20th Century Hit Songs', broadcast on the 31st of last month, featured the theme 'Singing Again! Hit Songs by Singers Who Overcame Pain', spotlighting legendary singers who overcame adversity to return to the stage.

The broadcast detailed the struggles and triumphs of the singers behind the songs ranked 9th to 1st. Having suffered fractures to his thigh and ankle in a traffic accident, Hee-chul empathised with singer Kim Kyung-ho's account of enduring severe pain from avascular necrosis of the femoral head while continuing to perform. He revealed, "I also had fractures and my height decreased. I was originally around 185 centimetres tall." Hee-chul’s current height is publicly stated as 176 centimetres.

In a traffic accident in 2006, Hee-chul sustained injuries to various parts of his body, from his left ankle to his thigh and hip bone, undergoing major surgery involving the insertion of seven metal pins. He was subsequently classified as having a Grade 4 physical disability.
