Former ”TEENTOP” member CAP appointed as chairman of the idol union establishment preparatory committee

Former Korean boy band member TEENTOP member CAP has been appointed chairman of the preparatory committee for the establishment of an idol labor union, according to management office MODEN.
BERRYKOREA announced this on the 7th (today). The agency said, "The Idol Labor Union Preparatory Committee is an organization that protects the rights and interests of pop culture artists, including idols."
"We will submit the establishment report to the Seongnam branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor in September and aim to start within the year," he explained.

"Seoh Min-seong, a research fellow at the Youth Policy Institute of the Democratic Party, will also be joining the group as the person in charge of external relations."
Meanwhile, CAP debuted in the music industry as a member of "TEENTOP" in 2010. In 2023, he was involved in a live stream scandal on YouTube where he was verbally abusive.
He left the group in the aftermath of the incident and joined MODEN BERRYKOREA this year. When he left TEEN TOP, he said, "I hadn't been in a group that suited me for a long time.
I felt like I was wearing clothes that didn't belong to me. I wanted to take them off, so I started doing things that weren't right," he said. "I'm sorry to the many people who were hurt by my words and actions.
"I'm happy," he said.
