”My wife is Kim Yuna” ”Forestella” Ko WooRim, ”We have a good marriage...we haven't had a fight yet”

Korean crossover group Forestella's Ko WooRim expressed gratitude towards his wife, figure skating queen Kim Yuna.

Ko WooRim appeared on the KBS2TV variety programme 'New Product Launch: Convenience Store Restaurant', broadcast on the 7th.

This marked his first appearance on "Convenience Store Restaurant". Though visibly nervous about the observational variety format, Ko WooRim steadily focused on his cooking.

Ko WooRim showcased his culinary skills honed during his single life before marriage. His first dish was bread, which his wife Kim Yuna also enjoys.

Ko WooRim made "French Toast" using an innovative recipe. He drew attention by presenting "Coffee French Toast", which combines coffee and French toast, achieved by adding instant coffee to the egg mixture. He further completed the rich flavour by adding ice cream.

Later, he also recreated a Japanese-style "Oyakodon" recipe, revealing it was one of the dishes Kim Yuna, known for her cooking skills, often made for him.

The culinary highlight was his original recipe for "Napolitan Puldak Ramen". Ko WooRim explained, "Ramen is my wife's soul food, but she couldn't eat it during her competitive days and seemed frustrated. I wanted to make it delicious for her," thus creating the so-called "Napolitan Puldak Ramen". Chef Lee Young-bok, tasting the highly addictive dish, lavished praise, stating, "Convenience store restaurant chefs should be nervous."

During the same broadcast, Ko WooRim also displayed his devoted husband side towards Kim Yuna. He boasted, "Kim Yuna is a great cook. She makes truly delicious food," and added, "I'm still immature, but I'm striving to become a wiser husband." Ko WooRim also revealed they had never once quarrelled, publicly stating their marital spat count was zero.

Meanwhile, recalling the early days of their relationship, Ko WooRim candidly confessed, "The mere fact that someone like Kim Yuna liked our music gave me strength. When times are tough, I draw energy by thinking of my wife, who becomes my pride."

Regarding his wife Kim Yuna's stern warning after his recent controversial comments, he remarked, "I was moved, realising she cares deeply for me," adding, "My wife has truly lived a fierce life. I want to live a life that matches that fierceness. I can say with certainty, few men have married as well as I have."
