HOSHI (SEVENTEEN), who enlisted in the military, surprises with the release of his new song ”Fallen Superstar” today (11th)... His first attempt at an English solo song
HOSHI, a member of the South Korean boy band SEVENTEEN, is set to surprise fans once again with a new song release.
According to HYBE MUSIC Group label PLEDIS Entertainment, HOSHI will unveil the audio and music video for his new track ‘Fallen Superstar’ at 6 PM today (11th). This marks his first solo release in approximately two months since ‘TAKEA SHOT’ in September.
‘Fallen Superstar’ tells the story of two wounded individuals who regain warmth by sharing their respective shortcomings. The contrasting fast-tempo drums and lyrical guitar sounds, combined with HOSHI's delicate vocals, have created music reminiscent of a passionate lyric poem.
The song was written and composed by Andrew Goldstein, who has worked with global artists such as Maroon 5 and Katy Perry, and singer-songwriter JXDN, who was nominated for an MTV Video Music Award, one of the four major music awards ceremonies in the United States. HOSHI is challenging himself with his first English solo song since his debut, and is expected to broaden his appeal among global fans.
The music video depicts the strange emotional line of ‘Fallen Superstar’, where downfall and love coexist, with sophisticated and sensual visuals. The teaser, released at midnight on the 11th, featured a smashed guitar and HOSHI falling, shown in reverse. This was followed by a guitar pick engraved with the phrase "You're just a Fallen Superstar" and a snippet of the new song, heightening anticipation for the audio and music video.
Meanwhile, HOSHI enlisted in the army in September.
