”I Request Approval for Remarriage.” Joo Ji Hoon wears a Nazi medal on her costume? ... Production company apologizes, ”We are deeply aware of the seriousness of this matter”
Controversy has swirled over a prop used in the upcoming film 'I Request Approval for Remarriage', scheduled for release next year, which bears a resemblance to a medal used by the German Nazis.

Earlier, the global online video service (OTT) Disney+ released the first stills from 'I Request Approval for Remarriage', slated for release next year, on the 13th.

However, questions subsequently arose, primarily on X (formerly Twitter), that the medal worn by actor Joo Ji-hoon in the photographs resembled the German Nazi's Third Class Gold Medal of Merit for Long Service.

In relation to this, production company Studio N stated, "We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the insufficient inspection of specific costume accessories released this time."

They added, "The production team deeply recognises the seriousness of this matter," and stated, "We will carefully and thoroughly carry out the replacement of the released photos and follow-up measures to prevent recurrence."

However, it was reported that a decision has not yet been made on whether to reshoot the entire scene where the relevant prop was used, or to use existing footage while editing out only the specific prop.

‘IRequest Approval for Remarriage‘ is a romance fantasy based on a web novel. It depicts the unfolding story where Queen Navié (played by Shin Min-a) of the fictional Eastern Empire, captivated by the escaped slave Rastar (played by Lee Se-young), seeks permission to remarry Prince Heinri (played by Lee Jong-suk) of the Western Kingdom instead of divorcing Emperor Sobieski (played by Joo Ji-hoon).
