However, the fire from which Mi-son barely escaped was no mere accident. Pyo Hyeon-jun (Mu Jin-seong), having threatened Cha Seong-taek (Kim Jae-fa) to learn the delivery date and storage location of surgical gloves, had deliberately set it alight. With the warehouse's entire glove stock destroyed, Typhoon Trading once again faced an existential crisis. With just one week left until the delivery deadline, Eagles, the American headquarters, reported that material shortages would delay production restart by three months. The Procurement Agency refused to grant a delivery extension. If this continued, the contract would automatically transfer to Pyo Sang-son, the second-ranked supplier. Failure meant certain bankruptcy for the company.
While searching for alternative quantities, Taepung uncovered a shocking truth. Pyo Sang-son, who had been confident of winning the bid, had already placed a massive order for three million units with Eagles two weeks prior. This volume was so large it would be difficult to process within a year even in the domestic market, revealing Pyo Sang-son was also carrying a significant burden. This bluff proved remarkably successful. Upon learning his father had handed the gloves to Taepung, Hyun-joon flew into a rage and stormed onto the scene. Just as he seemed poised to strike Te-pun, the furious Mi-son appeared. Instinctively realising Hyun-joon was responsible for the warehouse fire, she delivered a sharp slap across his cheek, providing viewers with a satisfying catharsis.
