NCT's Doyoung and Jungwoo enlisted together today (8th)... Following Tae Yeon and Jae Hee, they are entering a military hiatus.

Doyoung and Jeongwoo of the boy band NCT commence their military service together today.

The pair will enter an Army training centre on the 8th to undergo basic military training. Subsequently, they will fulfil their military obligations at separate locations: Doyoung as an active-duty soldier in the Army, and Jeongwoo in the Army Band.

SM Entertainment stated, "There will be no separate events on the day of entry," adding, "As this is a place where military personnel and their families gather, we kindly request fans to refrain from visiting for safety reasons."

Ahead of enlistment, Jeongwoo uploaded a photo to his SNS (social networking service) showing his short, blonde hair, with the cut strands arranged to spell out "Doyoung Jeongwoo Enlistment".

He subsequently revealed a cake bearing the phrase "Doyoung, Jongwoo, go safely and let's meet again," sharing details of his final pre-enlistment party.

Thus, Doyoung and Jongwoo become the third members of NCT 127 to enlist, following Taeyong who joined the Navy last year and Jaehyun currently serving in the Army Band. Tae-young is scheduled for discharge on 14th December, while Jae-hyun is due to be discharged on 3rd May next year.

Meanwhile, both members maintained vigorous activities until their enlistment. Jong-woo released his first single "SUGAR" last month, appearing on various music programmes to perform the new track. On the 7th, he held his first solo fan meeting, "Golden Sugar Time", spending precious time with fans.

Doyoung, renowned for his special affection for fans, has numerous content releases planned during his military hiatus. He released his new song "Promise" on the 9th, the day after enlisting. On the 10th, he will appear on the new variety programme "Thanks buddy club", led by Kim Tae-ho and produced by TEO, sharing heartfelt conversations over warm meals with people he wishes to thank.
