The crime entertainment film ‘PROJECT Y’ (directed by Lee Hwan), set to open fire in 2026, has confirmed its release date for 21st January and is generating significant interest, having unveiled its teaser poster.
‘PROJECT Y’, depicting the story of Mi-son and Do-gyeong – who have lived dreaming of different tomorrows in the heart of a glamorous city – stealing black money and gold bars at life's precipice, unveiled its teaser poster on the 12th. The newly unveiled poster features a floral-adorned letter Y, surrounded by striking visuals of Mi-son (Han So-hee), Do-gyeong (Jeon Jong-seo), Ga-yong (Kim Shin-rok), and President To (Kim Sung-chul).
Best friends Mi-son and Do-gyeong devise a perfect plan to steal President To's illicit funds and turn their desperate lives around. However, they unexpectedly discover gold bars hidden where the money was kept, plunging them into unforeseen circumstances. In that moment, which seemed like a life-changing "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity" yet also like a trap where their lives were the collateral, the two decide to steal not just the money but the gold bars too. Consequently, individuals with their own distinct motives and desires begin pursuing them.
In the poster, Mi-son's sharp gaze shines with a determined expression, while Do-gyun's gaze, fixed on something with an unusual smile, reveals their contrasting personalities and sparks interest.
Particularly, Mi-son, who plans and approaches rationally, and Do-gyun, who reacts immediately and acts without hesitation, heighten anticipation about what kind of teamwork they will use to overcome the incidents they will face together.
