The official YouTube channel of "TOGETHER" has posted a cover video and audio of Beomgyu's "Because I Love You."
"Because I Like You" is a song by Japanese singer-songwriter Yuika, about a naive couple who don't realize that their feelings are mutual.
It's a song that depicts a sweet story of youth from different perspectives. Beomgyu's sweet vocals match the message that one day he wants her to be his very own "heroine" and make my heart flutter.
In the video released with the song, Bongyu catches the eye with his handsome visuals. Wearing a school uniform, he walks through the schoolyard on a spring day with cherry blossoms in full bloom, evoking memories of first love.
At this point, scenes that look like they were shot with an old video camera were inserted, giving the song a nostalgic feel. Beomgyu said, "The lyrics and melody are really beautiful. I think it goes well with my voice."
So, I wanted to prepare this as a gift to my fans as spring arrives," he said, explaining the reason behind performing the cover song.
He added, "When I heard the song, it reminded me of cherry blossoms.
This song is about unrequited love from my school days, so I hope I can make good use of that sensibility.
So I wore a uniform and filmed it," he said, talking about the preparation process and his thoughts.
TOGETHER will release their 4th single "CHIKAI" in Japan on July 3rd.
Prior to this, they will play in Tacoma on May 14th, Oakland on the 18th, Los Angeles on the 21st-22nd, Houston on the 26th, Atlanta on the 29th, and June 1-2nd.
The tour will be held in 8 cities in the US, including New York on the 1st, Rosemont on the 5th and 6th, and Washington DC on the 8th.
