V.I(元BIGBANG)、7年前の問題映像に再びスポット
“Unrepentant” VI (former BIGBANG) mentions GD and makes a fuss… Spotted again in the problematic video from 7 years ago
V.I., a former member of the Korean group BigBang who was released from prison last year after serving a prison sentence for the so-called "Club Burning Sun incident," has once again drawn attention to a video of him publicizing his business plans at a past fan meeting. The controversial reference to his former colleague G-Dragon during a recent appearance at an overseas event has netizens once again discussing the members' attempts to prevent his hasty words and actions during their time in the group.

V.I. announced that he was preparing a "cancer diagnosis kit" project at a BIGBANG fan meeting held in 2017 at the Gochuk SkyDome.

At the time, TV personality Jung Hyun-moo, who served as the MC, asked the audience, "What is another project V.I. is planning? and the other members had to guess the answer. After a series of incorrect answers such as "anti-aging" and "mask packs," V.I. announced that "cancer diagnostic kit" was the correct answer.

He then began to explain his business plan.

The first is IT and the second is biotechnology," he said. The third is cosmetics," he added. "If you want to get a diagnosis of cancer, you have to have X-rays taken and blood samples taken, which is very expensive and time-consuming. That costs a lot of money and a lot of time."

He continued, "From now on, it's urine. The new method is to submit only urine and see if there is a chemical reaction to determine whether cancer is present or not. I am now preparing a cancer diagnosis kit. I am doing my best to reduce the cancer rate so that many of you will be able to detect cancer in advance," he explained.

The other members of the group were quick to add, "Once it's up on Instagram," (D-LITE), "after it's really, really certain," "it's extremely dangerous," and "if it's at that level, it should go straight to the news and all of you should know about it,". (G-DRAGON), etc., to stop V.I.'s words.

V.I responded by saying, "I'm sorry," but added, "When the product comes out later, I want you to use one. The members may not know this, but the article is in the process of being published. Please look for it on the portal site on your way home," he continued his words.

This video was re-lighted by V.I.'s statement referring to G-Dragon at an overseas event. The controversial reason was that he continuously emphasized his connection with "BigBang" after he left the group due to many turmoil.

Recently, a video was posted on online communities showing V.I. visiting Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on the 22nd of this month to conduct an event at a Korean restaurant.

In this video, V.I., wearing a suit, said, "I will bring G-Dragon here someday. He also danced to "GOOD BOY" by GD&SOL. The fans on site cheered, shouting 'G-DRAGON.'"

When it became known that V.I. led the reaction through G-DRAGON, netizens responded, "I can't believe he still has the capacity to promote 'BIGBANG,'" "I feel so sorry for GD," and "He really knows no remorse.

V.I., who debuted as the youngest member of "BIGBANG" in 2006, was involved in the "Club Burning Sun Incident" in 2019. He left the group and retired from show business due to this incident. In 2022, he was sentenced to one year and six months in prison for violations of the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act and the Act on Punishment of Pimping (prostitution, pimping, using cameras, etc.), and was released from prison on February 9, 2011 after serving his sentence.
