Hyundai Mobis to provide card-type smart car keys for Korean EVs (Korea)

Hyundai Mobis, an auto parts manufacturer, has announced that it has launched a card-type smart key for cars, the "Button-Type Smart Card Key," for Korean consumers.
The product is expected to be compatible with Hyundai's electric vehicle (EV) "Ioniq 5N."
Although the company has previously made the product compatible with some export models of the "Smart Key," this will be the first time it will be targeted at Korean consumers. The product retains the functionality of existing smart keys, but uses near-field wireless communication (NF)
C) card key. By pressing a button like a normal smart key, you can open and close the door, start the engine remotely, and use the remote smart parking function.
It has a variety of functions, including Remote Standby Assist (RSPA), trunk opening and closing, and remote horn operation. By simply putting it in your wallet or pocket, you can open and close the car door and start the engine.
The ultra-wideband (UWB) function allows accurate location determination between compatible devices. The design of the card's surface can be changed to suit the user's preferences, with textures and other features also available.
Hyundai Mobis said, "We will expand the application of the button-type smart card key to other car models in Korea in the future."
