Mr. A, who claims that popular Korean actor Nam Ju Hyuk committed school violence, files formal lawsuit

A classmate named A, who accused popular South Korean actor Nam Ju Hyuk of school violence, has appealed the summary order for the fine and requested a formal trial.
On the 8th, lawyer Noh Jeong-un of the law firm Jeongjae, who is the legal representative of Mr. A, told EDAILY that
Lawyer Noh said there were two reasons for the request for a trial. The first was that Mr. A had been arrested by Nam Joo-soo.
False rumors were spread that Hyuk and Nam Ju Hyuk's friends were the victims of school violence, but Mr. A reported that he was the victim of school violence not by Nam Ju Hyuk but by Nam Ju Hyuk's friends.
He continued, "Mr. A was not the one who was subjected to school violence by Nam Ju Hyuk," and added, "It was a mistake by the reporter who first reported it."
The second statement was, "Mr. A witnessed another friend being subjected to violence by Mr. Nam at school.
"I understand that there are two or three other people who have been interviewed by the media who said they were victims other than Mr. A," he said. "We have requested them to testify and have conducted questioning of them."
"We will try to clarify whether this is true or not," he said. A, a high school classmate of Nam Ju Hyuk, said that she had been subjected to school violence by Nam Ju Hyuk's group of friends in the past.
In June 2022, Mr. B published an article alleging that Mr. A had been subjected to school violence by Nam Ju Hyuk.
Nam Ju Hyuk management office Management SOOP denied this and filed criminal charges against A and B for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act.
On the 28th, Mr. A and Mr. B were fined 7 million won (approximately 780,000 yen) each for stating incorrect facts and spreading false information with the intent of slandering Mr. Nam, thus damaging his reputation.
Nam Ju Hyuk enlisted in the military in March of last year and is currently serving in the 32nd Infantry Division Military Police.
