China Guilin Airlines passenger refused to disembark due to 'unfit for boarding' delay of more than two hours - Chinese report
On the 16th, a post was made online in China stating that "on Guilin Airlines flight GT1013, a woman remained lying down in her seat and refused to get up, causing the flight to be delayed for over two hours," attracting attention.
In a video posted online, a woman can be seen lying across two seats, with flight attendants and police officers accosting her. Passengers nearby were heard telling her to be quiet.
The poster expressed dissatisfaction with the flight. "On the 16th, I experienced some trouble on board flight GT1013 from Guilin to Jinan. A passenger who did not meet the boarding conditions tried to get off the plane.
In an interview with Chinese media outlet "Kokumu News," a person who was on board the flight said, "The woman in the video had some kind of illness and was unable to stay seated."
According to Ms. A, the woman purchased two seats and immediately lay down on them after boarding. However, the flight attendant explained to her that it was dangerous to lie down on the plane, and she told him, "It doesn't meet the boarding conditions."
The woman remained lying down and did not move. Police officers then arrived, but the woman continued to refuse to get off. This caused the plane to depart late, and the flight was initially delayed until 4:30 p.m.
Flight GT1013, which was scheduled to take off at 10:00, finally took off near 7:00 pm. A Guilin Airlines official said the delay was due to "one of the passengers not being able to sit properly in his seat."
"I explained to the woman that she needed to get off the plane, but she didn't listen, so I contacted the airport police."
