”Kakao Pay” will be linked with ”Samsung Pay” and ”Zero Pay” to strengthen payments at brick-and-mortar stores (South Korea)

South Korean Kakao Group's mobile payment service "Kakao Pay" announced that it has linked with Samsung Electronics' mobile payment service "Samsung Pay" and the government-led "Zero Pay".
"Kakao Pay" is partnered with 1 million online and brick-and-mortar stores, 3 million stores with "Samsung Pay" and 1.1 million small stores with "Zero Pay".
"Samsung Pay" users can now use "Samsung Pay" MST (Magnetic Secure Transmittal) for "Kakao Pay" services by updating the app.
The service can now be used with all payment methods, from "Kakao Pay Points" to "Kakao Pay Gift Certificates" and "Kakao Pay Cards."
"Zero Pay" QR code payment can be used to make payments using "Kakao Pay Money" and other payments at small stores that support "Zero Pay". With "Zero Pay", you can make payments without updating the app.
It can be used on the "Kakao Talk" and "Kakao Pay" apps. Meanwhile, small stores affiliated with "Zero Pay" can use scanners and solutions that can read "Kakao Pay" barcodes.
This will enable the provision of KakaoPay payment services without any investment in payments.
