In response to President Yoon Seok-yeol's teasing that he will hold a press conference on the 9th to mark the second anniversary of his inauguration, the People's Power Party said, "We hope that this will be the starting point for restoring an 'administration that communicates with the people.'
Jeong Hee-yeon, chief spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a commentary on the 6th, "At the press conference, President Yoon explained to the public the state of affairs and policy status over the past two years and outlined his plans for future strategies.
"The Q&A session is likely to be open and cover a wide range of national policy issues without any restrictions on subject matter," Chung said.
"This reflects President Yoon's proactive determination to accept the public will revealed in the general election and to communicate directly with the people," he said.
Chief Spokesperson Chung also said, "Right now, the Yoon Seok-yeol administration is facing labor, medical, education and pension reforms.
There are many issues that must be resolved for the sake of the lives of ordinary citizens and the future of Korea, but these issues can only be resolved through dialogue with the opposition parties and with the support and encouragement of the people."
"Communication is an issue that cannot be postponed in order to ensure the momentum for running the nation in the future," he said.
"I hope this will be an opportunity to present our vision for the future," he said, adding, "The president, the government, and People Power will continue to stand by the people through proactive communication and bold reform."
