According to KBS, "NewJeans" will be holding the "2024 Korea On Demand" event at Gyeongbokgung Palace's Geunjeongjeon on the 16th.
The pre-recording for the special stage of "Korea On Stage - New Generation" (hereinafter "Korea On Stage") was held.
The "Korea Stage" is a performance aimed at conveying the splendor of Korea's national heritage. It is organized by the Cultural Heritage Administration and supervised by the Korea Cultural Heritage Agency and KBS. This year marks the fifth time the event has been held.
The performance will be held at Gyeongbokgung Palace, Korea's leading palace, to commemorate the cultural heritage site being renamed "National Heritage."
A K-POP girl group performance at Gyeongbokgung Palace Geunjeongjeon Hall, an important national heritage site designated as a national treasure.
This will be the first time that the group has performed on stage. NewJeans will be performing their hit songs in reinterpreted traditional Korean clothing such as dansanjeogori, sullanchima, and teranchima.
They delivered a splendid performance of the song "Cool With You." NewJeans commented, "We are truly grateful to have had the opportunity to perform at the Gyeongbokgung Palace Geunjeongjeon Hall, a precious Korean heritage site.
It is truly an honor and a memory that I believe will linger in my memory for a long time. I hope that this opportunity will encourage many people to become interested in Korea's national heritage."
KBS said, "The special stage of Geunjeongjeon on NewJeans will not only be an opportunity to introduce the beauty and value of national heritage in a new way, but also to promote Geunjeongjeon as a place of cultural significance for Korea in the future.
"Korea On Stage" will be broadcast on KBS TV from 11:25 pm on the 21st.
The concert will be broadcast on 2TV. Daniel, a member of "New Jeans", was selected as the exclusive MC for the concert.
