Lee Jung-seok, special appearance in ”Designer”... It was the ”beginning of the story”

Actor Lee Jong-seok appears and opens the gates to the film.

The film ‘The Designer’ tells the story of Yong-il (Kang Dong-won), a designer who manipulates a commissioned murder into a perfect accidental death, and the unexpected events that unfold. Lee Jong-seok teams up with Yong-il and takes on the role of ‘Chak-neun’, a colleague who handled the murder case together.

Chak-neun (Lee Jong-seok) is the first character introduced by Yong-il at the start of the film. The moment Chak-neun appears and Lee Jong-seok's face fills the screen, the film presents a sense of surprise and immersion at the same time. The beginning of the incident initiated by Chak-neun causes confusion for Yeon-il, who cannot contain his gaze towards Chak-neun on one side of his mind while the film is being screened. The concern and anticipation for the character that Lee Jong-seok has joined the relationship further immerses the audience in the events in the film.

At the media preview held prior to the film's release, director Lee Yo-seop commented on Lee Jong-seok's special appearance, ‘Chak-neun needed a white handsome man instead of a black handsome man to contrast with Yong-il's dark image. I wanted to see the contrast between the two of them in black and white. I asked Lee Jong-seok to do it and I got the glory of seeing Kang Dong-won and Lee Jong-seok, two actors sitting together. He expressed his satisfaction as a director with Chak-neun, which was filled with Lee Jong-seok's soft and warm figure, and further raised expectations for the film with an answer that made the audience anticipate the black-and-white chemistry formed by Lee Jong-seok and Kang Dong-won.

Meanwhile, the film ‘The Designer’, in which Lee Jong-seok makes a special appearance, will be released in South Korea on the 29th May.
