People Power attacks over food expenses for First Lady Kim Jong-suk's visit to India... ”Five years' worth of food expenses for a family of four was spent in four days” = South Korea
On the 1st, the ruling People Power Party continued its criticism of the controversial 2018 visit to India by Kim Jung-sook, the wife of former President Moon Jae-in.
Park Jun-tae, the National Assembly spokesman for the People's Power, commented on the same day, "I want the inconvenient truth about the First Lady's exclusive diplomacy to be revealed. No matter how high-end the gourmet food is,
"But can a family of four spend five years' worth of food expenses in just four days?" he said. "The Democratic Party of Korea says that household finances will be revitalized with 250,000 won (about 28,404 yen) per person," he continued.
However, they are silent about the fact that more than 250 times that amount of taxpayer money has been wasted. I would like to ask the Democratic Party of Japan whether it is acceptable to carelessly spend the people's hard-earned tax money like a rock in your pocket."
Spokesperson Heo Joon-seok also commented, "The first visit to India by the First Lady to India for three nights and four days on a presidential jet without the President on board was merely a formality.
Hu said, "It was clearly a 'self-invitation,' but they took a private jet and just did a quick tour of the Taj Mahal, spending a lot of taxpayer money."
It is not enough to just say that, and it is not moral for the people to conceal it as exclusive diplomacy. It is time to be frank. The suspicions have reached an unmanageable level, and now the people want to know the truth.
According to documents released by Rep. Bae Hyun-jin the previous day, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism agreed to a 236.7 million won (approximately 2.5 billion won) contract with Korean Air for Kim's visit to India in November 2018.
Of this amount, the cost of in-flight meals was 62.92 million won (approximately 7.15 million yen), second only to fuel costs (65.31 million won (approximately 7.42 million yen)).
At the time, the total number of passengers was 36.
