アルム(元T-ARA)、児童虐待容疑で送検1
Areum (former T-ARA), who claimed that her husband hit the children, was indicted on charges of child abuse and banned from contact... Mother also suspected of kidnapping
Former girl group T-ara member Areum has been indicted on suspicion of child abuse. She has previously claimed that her former husband was the one responsible for the child abuse, but it appears she is the one being accused of child abuse.
On the 3rd (today), Korean entertainment media Dispatch reported that Areum had been referred to the prosecution on suspicion of child abuse, while Areum's former husband, Mr. A, was not indicted on suspicion of child abuse.
According to reports, Gwangmyeong Police Station in Gyeonggi Province indicted Ah-reum on charges of child abuse, child abandonment, violation of the Child Welfare Act, and kidnapping of a minor early last month, and has arrested her.
The case was sent to the Ansan branch of the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office. Ah-reum's mother was also indicted by the prosecution on suspicion of abduction and enticement of a minor. The mother and daughter have been given until July 21 to file charges against the children.
It is prohibited to approach within 100 meters of the children. Alm claimed that Mr. A had hit the children, spat on them, and urinated and defecated in their faces. She recorded a conversation she had with her eldest son.
She posted on social media that she was being abused. However, Ah-reum's claims were impossible to prove. As a result of the police investigation, the suspicion of A's violation of the Child Welfare Act (child abuse) was not acknowledged.
Got it. The Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office ruled on the 8th of last month that there was "no suspicion" (insufficient evidence). The victim did not make a statement and they were unable to find any evidence of physical assault.
In response to Ah-reum's allegations, her new boyfriend, Seo Dong-hoon, came forward and exposed the allegations as false. Ah-reum remarried Seo in December last year while in the midst of divorce proceedings.
However, the two were fighting and breaking up repeatedly, leading to this revelation. Meanwhile, the lawyer for the former husband, Mr. A, told Dispatch, "Arum forced the divorce as the guilty spouse.
"After that, he continued to post defamatory material about Mr. A," the company said, warning him to "stop defamatory and innocent conduct."
