"We express serious concern about the continued launches of ballistic missiles," it said, adding, "We will continue to closely monitor the possibility of further provocations, including a seventh nuclear test."
This is the second time that Japan, the United States and South Korea have issued a joint statement criticizing North Korea's provocative actions, following the IAEA General Conference of Member States in September last year.
These moves by the three countries have been evaluated as "a reaffirmation on the multilateral stage of the three countries' strong will to cooperate in responding to North Korea's illegal provocative actions."
"North Korea's military cooperation with Russia, including transfers of ballistic missiles and other arms, is a clear violation of UN Security Council resolutions and undermines the international non-proliferation regime and international social order," the three countries said.

He also pointed out that Russia exercised its veto over the extension of the term of the UN Security Council's Panel of Experts on North Korea Sanctions, saying, "The international community's anti-North Korea model is a violation of the international law."
Meanwhile, representatives of major IAEA member states, including South Korea, Japan, France, Canada and Australia, also made individual statements criticizing North Korea for its nuclear program.
In response, they called for the compliance of UN Security Council resolutions, the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT), and IAEA verification obligations.
