South Korea: Male teacher sexually harasses and abuses 11 ”male students” over a four-year period

In South Korea, the prosecution has sought a 14-year prison sentence for a male middle school teacher (33 years old) on charges of sexual harassment and sexual abuse of 11 male students (including similar sexual acts under the Juvenile Sexual Protection Act).
On the 5th, the prosecution requested that the teacher be sentenced to 14 years in prison, with the disclosure and public notice of his personal information, 20 years of work restrictions, and 20 years of electronic device wear restrictions, at the trial of the male teacher held at the Seoul Western District Court.
" The prosecution said, "The defendant committed crimes against the male junior high school students, such as sexual acts of sexual harassment and sexual conduct, to satisfy his own sexual desires.
"The nature of his crimes is serious, including the emotional abuse he caused through physical assault and verbal abuse," he continued. "The defendant denied the crimes and gathered the students together to personally
"We only explained our position and had them submit the petition," he said, adding, "The victims and their guardians want severe punishment."
The defendant committed the crimes against 11 students between November 2019 and October last year.
The boys were reportedly aged between 14 and 15 at the time of the incident.
