Gimpo city is considering imposing a two-month suspension on Club A, which was run to target young people.
Club A, registered as a regular restaurant, was operating under a banner that read, "Crazy excitement ○○ youth club open, open to junior high school second year students to senior high school students," but was arrested.
According to the Food Sanitation Law Enforcement Regulations, general restaurant operators are not allowed to provide sound equipment and allow customers to dance.
After confirming the facts, the company's owner, a man in his 20s, was charged with violating the Food Sanitation Act without detention and sent to the prosecutor's office on the 7th.
"It must be unfortunate that most stores limit admission at 10pm. So come to XX and have fun while listening to some exciting EDM," he posted.
Furthermore, a Club A official uploaded a video of customers dancing on social media, saying, "We do not sell alcohol. Police officers have checked the hall, kitchen, and business registration certificates, and have confirmed that there is no problem.
An official from Gimpo City said, "After checking the site, we confirmed that the business was operating illegally, and we are currently taking steps to suspend operations."
"We plan to take administrative action against the company after a period of submission of comments," he said.
