韓中「2プラス2」外交安保対話が18日ソウルで開催…朝鮮半島問題を議論
Korea-China ”2+2” Diplomatic and Security Dialogue to be held in Seoul on 18th to discuss Korean Peninsula issue
The vice foreign ministers of South Korea and China will meet in Seoul. This will be the first "2+2" summit in nine years, following a pledge by South Korean President Yoon Seok-yeol and Chinese Premier Li Chang-yi to hold bilateral talks last month.
South Korea's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on the 18th that it will hold a Korea-China diplomatic and security dialogue with China in Seoul.
The South Korean side will be represented by First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Kim Hong-ki-yoon and International Policy Director at the Ministry of National Defense Lee Seung-beom. China will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Sun Weidong and Central Military Commissioner Jang Bo-jun.
The deputy director of the International Military Cooperation Office of the Chairman of the Committee will attend the meeting. The two sides are expected to focus on the situation on the Korean Peninsula. In addition, they will discuss Russian President Putin's visit to North Korea, North-Russia cooperation, and the U.S.-China relationship.
They are also expected to discuss relations and cross-strait issues.
