This work, which depicts the lives of people living with repressed desires in a society where oppression is rampant, has been well received for over 30 years since its premiere in 1991 and is still recognized as a masterpiece that evokes contemporary discussion.
The flyer Yoo Seung Ho is taking on is about a man who is sick, separated from his girlfriend, and wanders around, only to be told he has a short time left to live. Yoo Seung Ho is trying to protect his love despite his worsening illness.
Yoo Seung Ho said, "I was attracted to the honest and unique character and decided to try acting for the first time.
"I'm trying to get closer to flyers who are trying to prove themselves even in the shadows for the sake of life and love," he said, "I want to convey new energy to the audience on stage."
"I will do my best to prepare so that I can make the most of the performance," he said. Meanwhile, the play "Angels in America" will be showing at the LG Arts Center in Korea from August 6 to September 28.
It will be performed at the Center Seoul and LG SIGNATURE Hall.
