Actor Ji Chang Wook shared his thoughts on appearing on C's new variety show "My Name is Gabriel" at the production presentation.
On this day, Ji Chang Wook said, "It's been a while since I last appeared on a variety show, but I felt awkward and unnatural.
"I think I filmed it while feeling it," he said, "I hope you'll look forward to it." "Gabriel" is a new show that production company TEO will be showing on JTBC, and no one knows me.
It is a reality variety show in which a host lives the "real life" of one of the world's 8 billion people for 72 hours in a completely different place.
Regarding the planning intention of "Gabriel," PD Kim said, "The format itself is simple.
"Rather than a standardized concept, we thought that there would be the potential for a variety of genres and content to emerge depending on the cast and the environment."
He continued, "I was curious about how actors who are very understanding of others concentrate, and I thought, 'I have a hard time concentrating.
"Isn't this strange?" I was worried about how to make the characters more realistic, but I was also concerned about how their abilities and inclinations would blend in to a certain extent.
Ji Chang Wook, who decided to appear on a variety show despite his busy schedule, said, "At first, I didn't understand the show well and I was under a lot of pressure.
"I didn't have any experience with the film, but I was very flustered when I got to the scene," he continued. "Living someone else's life is not an easy thing to do. You can't become that person instantly, and
Ji Chang Wook went to Guadalajara, Mexico. He said, "The work was also very hard.
She said that she understood the situation and matched the roles (laughs), but it was actually my first time doing the job so it was very difficult," she said, drawing laughter.
PD Kim responded, "We match people based on the conversations we have had in advance, but
"What Ng Wook emphasized most was that being a celebrity has to be tough," he explained, "That was the comment that stuck in my memory throughout the hour-long interview."
Ji Chang Wook, upon hearing this, joked, "They weren't talking about me, they were talking about how it's normal," and added, "I feel resentful towards myself for interviewing them then."
"My Name is Gabriel" will begin airing in Korea at 8:50 pm on the 21st.
