The National Samsung Electronics Union, the largest labor union at Samsung Electronics in South Korea, declared a full-scale strike on the 1st without pay or work until its demands are met.

The two sides have been negotiating since January this year, but have not been able to resolve their differences. The union then secured the right to strike after the Central Labor Relations Commission decided to suspend arbitration and union members voted.
They established a strike group and declared a strike on June 29. On the 7th of last month, they held their first protest using their annual leave following the strike declaration.
