South Korean opposition lawmaker: ”There is enough reason to impeach President Yoon”... ”Petition will likely gather more than 3 million people”

Rep. Park Ji-won of the opposition Democratic Party of Korea responded to a petition in the National Assembly requesting the immediate introduction of an impeachment motion against President Yoon Seok-yeol.
Regarding the fact that more than 900,000 people have applied, he predicted, "Since the petition period runs until July 20, the number will likely exceed 3 million."

In response to the moderator's point that "it is possible that many of the petitions of national consent are from ardent supporters of the Democratic Party," Rep. Park said, "Such petitions are not sent by the Presidential Office or the people.
This is a hopeless interference by the power of the ruling party."
