Shanghai airport expects 22.2 million passengers during ”summer holiday” - Chinese media

China's Shanghai Airport Group recently announced its forecast for the number of passengers it expects to use during the summer special transportation system "Hot Summer Period" (July 1st to August 31st).
According to the company, Pudong International Airport and Hongqiao International Airport in Shanghai handled a total of 140,000 flights during the same period.
Of these, 94,000 flights are planned at Pudong International Airport and 46,000 flights at Hongqiao International Airport. The average number of flights per day is 226, up 8% from the same period last year.
During the same period, the total number of passengers using air travel is expected to be about 22.2 million, of which 13.89 million are expected to be used by Pudong International Airport and 8.31 million by Hongqiao International Airport.
The average number of passengers increased 16% year-on-year to 360,000.
