Police have launched an investigation after four stray cats were found dead at an apartment complex in Incheon, South Korea.

A report was received that four dead stray cats were found behind an apartment building in Guwol-dong, Namdong-gu. One of the four had its leg amputated, and the other three were dead.
The body was found to be relatively intact. The residents who usually feed and care for the cat reported the damage to the body, believing that someone had deliberately killed the cat, and called the police.
"Another cat was found dead at the end of May, and on the 29th of last month, someone vandalized the cat food area," he said. "Two months ago, someone posted a warning saying, 'Be careful, they'll kill people who feed cats.'"
"Some residents were scared, so we strongly suspect that someone killed them intentionally," he said. After receiving the report, the police requested the Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Quarantine Agency to perform an autopsy on the body to determine the cause of the deaths of the cats.
Police plan to check security cameras in the area and conduct interviews to determine whether the cat was abused. A police official said, "At this point, we don't know whether it was killed intentionally or if it died of natural causes.
"The circumstances are unclear," and the police plan to confirm the specific circumstances of death based on the results of the autopsy.
