American Atomic Scientists: ”North Korea has produced enough nuclear material to make up to 90 nuclear warheads” - South Korean report

In a report, the US Association of Atomic Scientists (BAS) estimated that North Korea has produced enough nuclear material to make up to 90 nuclear warheads and has already assembled around 50 of them.
This is according to a joint research project between Swedish think tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) and Nagasaki University, which estimates that North Korea has 50 of these devices.
The scale of the facility is similar to that of the Research Center for Nuclear Weapons Abolition (RECNA) in the US. Radio Free Asia (RFA), a US government-run broadcasting station, announced on the 16th that BAS had released documents and satellite images released by the US military and private research institutes.
According to the report, North Korea has produced enough fissile material to manufacture up to 90 nuclear warheads, mainly for intermediate-range ballistic missiles.
It is estimated that North Korea has assembled about 50 nuclear warheads for use in the Middle East and North Korea-U.S. Strategic Planning and Development (SBSD) report, published in 2022, estimated that North Korea has between 20 and 30 nuclear warheads.
The latest report represents a doubling of the estimated number of nuclear warheads in two years. BAS estimates North Korea's nuclear warheads to have a yield of around 10 to 20 kilotons.
