People's Power Party candidate Na Kyung-wan calls Han Dong-hoon ”selfish and unsettling” - South Korea
Na Kyung-won, candidate for the ruling People Power Party's July 23rd party conference, said on the 17th, "Is it right for the judiciary to intervene in political actions in parliament?"
Candidate Na attended the Seoul, Incheon, Gyeonggi and Gangwon Joint Speech Meeting held in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province that afternoon.
"We need to wake up to the Democratic Party's violent acts in the National Assembly," he said. This was the same morning as Han Dong-hoon, who was on a CBS radio program, said in a debate.
It is analyzed that this is a rebuttal to the allegation that candidate Hoon asked candidate Na to drop charges in a criminal case when he was Minister of Justice.
Candidate Na said of candidate Han, "Are you still the candidate for party leader? It's selfish and worrying."
He added, "We cannot entrust our party to a leader who has neither a sense of responsibility for conservative values nor a sense of solidarity with the conservative community. Is it wrong to ignore the impeachment of the president for his own political gain?
Candidate Na said, "I will protect the constitutional order of the Republic of Korea. I will prevent the Democratic Party of Korea's former chairman Lee Jae-myung from taking control of the parliament and running wild with impeachment."
