The pathogens detected were 178 cases of enterotoxigenic E. coli, 126 cases of enteropathogenic E. coli, 19 cases of Salmonella, 13 cases of enterohemorrhagic E. coli, 6 cases of enteroinvasive E. coli, and 1 case of Vibrio parahaemolyticus.
There were six cases of bronchitis and two cases of bacterial dysentery. Looking at the detection rates by airport, Yangyang Airport had 30%, Incheon Airport had 20.81%, and Cheongju Airport had 14.
77% at Seoul, 4.44% at Gimhae Airport, and 3.70% at Daegu Airport. None were detected at Jeju Airport or Muan Airport.
The CDC requested disinfection of these flights and 160 flights have been disinfected.
It was noted that the pathogen detection rate in the first half of the year (January 1st to June 30th) increased by 2.8% (11.5% to 14.3%). As a result, the items to be tested, the places to collect samples, and the target air routes were revised from the 29th of this month.
