Actor Yu A In sued by man in his 30s for ”sexual assault while sleeping” (South Korea)

South Korean actor Yu A In (38, real name Uhm Hong-sik), who is currently on trial for alleged illegal drug use, has been accused of sexually assaulting a man and has been charged by the police.
On the 26th, Yongsan Police Station in Seoul announced that it had accepted a complaint against Yu A In and filed charges against her for imitation rape.
Police plan to summon the accused for questioning soon. The accused, Mr. A (30), was sleeping in an officetel in Yongsan, Seoul on the 14th of this month when he was shot dead.
She claims to have been sexually assaulted by Yu A In. Under current law, sexual assault on a person of the same sex is considered quasi-rape. It turns out that A is not a celebrity.
It was discovered that this officetel was not the residence of Yu A In or Ms. A, but was the venue where a drinking party was held, and other men were also present.
The police had investigated the plaintiff the previous day and said that a simple drug test for A came back negative.
Yu A In is on trial for allegedly habitually using medical propofol and other drugs on 181 occasions between September 2020 and March 2022 at a hospital in Seoul under the pretext of sleep anesthesia for beauty treatments.
On the 24th, the prosecution sought a four-year prison sentence.
