Actors Park Bo Gum, Kim So Hyun, Oh Jung Se, Lee Sang Yi, Ho Sung Tae and Tae Won Suk unite in Good Boy.

JTBC's new drama ‘Good Boy’ tells the story of medallists who became police officers through special recruitment and fight against the unjust world as police officers instead of medals.

First, Park Bo Gum takes on the role of Yoon Dong Joo, a powerful special team member who became a police officer through special recruitment of medallists who have returned after 11 years. Dong-joo, who emerged like a comet with his batting prowess and fists and won a gold medal in boxing, is now living a second life as a police officer after coming down from the echelons of glory in a single incident. He is hardened for a while in an unfamiliar world, but his fighter instincts, dormant in a world of unconscience and foul play, are awakened.

Kim So-hyun plays the role of Ji Han-na, a shooting gold medallist and a member of a powerful special team. Hanna enjoyed as much popularity as a celebrity as a shooting goddess due to her outstanding visuals when she was an athlete, but this also led to an increase in anti-fans and misunderstandings about her. This led her to abruptly retire and fulfil her dream of becoming a police officer like her father. And now her guns are pointed not at targets, but at cruel and inhumane villains.

Min Joo-yeon, played by Oh Jung-se, is a customs official of the 7th level of the Customs and Excise Department, who has even received a commendation from the head of the agency for her diligence, honesty and steady work performance. At first glance, he wears the mask of an honest civil servant, but there is another side to Ju-yeon. During the day, he hides his true face of lust with a good-natured smile and sober suit, while at night he shows his evil streak as the evil mastermind who has taken control of Inseong City.

Lee Sang-yi takes on the role of Kim Jung-hyun, a powerful special team member who was a silver medallist in fencing but abandoned it due to injury to become a police officer. Honest and stubborn, Jung-hyun also graduated at the top of his class from the police academy and volunteered for the Inspectorate Investigation Section. He thought he would never hold a sword again, but he joins the powerful special team and will show off his brilliant swordsmanship.

Heo Sung-tae plays Koh Man-sik, a bronze medallist in wrestling and the team leader of the Strong Special Team. When he was an athlete, Mang-sik lacked the physical strength and ability of others, but he was a man who climbed up and down with great determination, and was better at enduring than knocking down.

Dae Won-seok then appears as Shin Jae-heon, a bronze medallist in the discus throw and a member of the powerful special team. He became the first Korean to win a bronze medal in the discus throw, but his priority was his livelihood, so Jae-heon volunteered to become a police officer.
