Young-gyu, who had been watching, seemed determined to imitate him and began to eat with his hands. The two of them looked at each other and ate the fish in silence. This was the first time that their hearts connected.
This is a very important scene in which Yeong-gyu makes up his mind to follow Ji-gon and survive in this underworld. Director Kim Chang-hoon said, "Of course, the maeun-tang is eaten with his hands.
"I wanted this scene to show Yong-gyu's determination to enter the world that Chi-gong lives in and imitate it, rather than just cooking."
