Police test results showed that SUGA's blood alcohol level was enough to revoke his license (
After this fact was made known, the management office of BIGHIT Music stated, "SUGA was drunk and on his way home without his helmet on.
He was using the electric scooter and travelled about 500m before collapsing when parking it," he said. "The police noticed and tested him for alcohol, which resulted in him being fined and his license being revoked."
They continued, "We apologize for causing trouble to many people due to the inappropriate behavior of our artist," and "Regarding the behavior that caused social controversy while serving as a social service officer,
"I will be receiving appropriate disciplinary action from my employer," he added. SUGA and the management office said it was an "electric kickboard," but the police clarified that what SUGA was driving was an "electric scooter."
It was revealed that the vehicle Suga used was a model with an additional saddle on which a person could sit. According to the Automobile Management Act, electric kick scooters and electric scooters
Both are "motorcycles" and under the Road Traffic Act, driving them while drunk is a criminal offense, but there are some differences in the penalties.
According to Article 148-2 of the Road Traffic Act, SUGA is not allowed to use personal vehicles such as electric scooters.
If the driver is said to have been riding an electric scooter rather than a mobility device and his/her blood alcohol content is between 0.08% and 0.2%, he/she may be sentenced to one to two years in prison or 5 million won in addition to the fine.
The law also requires that drivers who violate the law be fined between 10,000 won (approx. US$5,000) and 10,000,000 won (approx. US$1,070). Personal mobility devices are not subject to this provision.

While the service management regulations for social service personnel include a clause on the “obligation to maintain dignity,” this provision does not apply after working hours.
However, if an active-duty soldier commits a crime in society while on leave or after his or her service is over, military criminal law will apply and the soldier will be tried in a military court.
