”Heat stroke” cases on tropical nights surge 923% compared to 12 years ago in South Korea

Last year, 307 people were diagnosed with heatstroke between 10 a.m. and 10 a.m. This represents a 923 percent increase from 12 years ago, when the monitoring system was first introduced in 2011, when there were only 30 cases.
In particular, the number of patients who contracted the virus between 6 and 10 a.m. soared 1,225 percent from 20 in 2011 to 265 last year.
In addition, the number of heat stroke patients during the daytime (noon to 7 p.m.) between 2011 and 2023 is expected to increase by 330.
The number of cases increased by 442% to 1,780, but this is less than half the rate of increase in patients from midnight to early morning.
