'BTS' SUGA rode an electric scooter while drunk and hit a kerb.

On Yonhap News TV's 'News Review' broadcast on the 13th, the news outlet independently reported surveillance footage of 'BTS' member SUGA riding on a pavement in a drunken state.

At around 11:10pm on the 6th, a surveillance camera caught SUGA sliding from south to north on a certain street in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.

Surveillance footage showed SUGA riding on an electric scooter on the pavement, hitting a kerb and falling down. Police riot police, who were just on patrol, spotted SUGA and called for assistance at a nearby police station; a patrol vehicle arrived less than 10 minutes later and a breath test was conducted at the scene.

SUGA was intoxicated with a blood alcohol level of 0.227%. This was well above the licence revocation threshold of 0.08%. A blood alcohol level of over 0.2% is an aggravated offence and the penalty upon conviction is imprisonment of between two and five years or a fine of 20 million won.

SUGA is reported to have stated that he drank one beer and drove a little when he was found by the police. The electric scooter SUGA was riding was not seized separately.

The police have finished checking the final distance and route of SUGA's journey and are currently arranging a date with SUGA's side for a subpoena investigation.
