BTS' SUGA fined 15 million won for ”driving electric scooter while drunk”

Suga (31), a member of the group BTS, has been fined 15 million won (approximately 1.6 million yen) for suspected drunk driving.
According to legal experts on the 30th, the Seoul Western District Court imposed a fine of 15 million won on Suga on the 27th for allegedly violating the Road Traffic Act (drunk driving).
The court issued a summary order on Won. A summary order is a procedure for imposing fines or penalties without a trial. If the party who received the summary order is not satisfied, they can file a formal appeal within one week after the summary order is served.
On the 10th, the prosecution summarily indicted Suga with a fine of 15 million won. Suga, who is currently serving as a community service officer, was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault on the 6th of last month at 11:15 p.m.
He is accused of being drunk and riding an electric scooter near his home in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, around 2:00 p.m.
When he was found by the police, his blood alcohol content was 0.227%, and he was found to be in a "deep drunk" state. Under the Road Traffic Act, if your blood alcohol content is 0.08% or higher, you cannot get a driver's license.
The penalty will be cancellation, imprisonment of one to two years, and a fine of 5 million won (approximately JPY 540,000) to 10 million won (approximately JPY 1.1 million).
However, if it exceeds 0.2%, the penalty is between 2 and 5 years in prison, and between 10 million won and 20 million won (approximately 2.1 million yen).
