”Moon of Seoul” flies 130 meters into the sky... begins operation this month (Korea)

The "Moon of Seoul" rose gently into the sky as if it were weightless. After a few minutes, it reached 130 meters above Seoul.

"Moon of Seoul" is a six-month project run by Seoul City and the Seoul Tourism Foundation to strengthen nighttime tourism content.
The term "tethered" refers to a system that connects the device to the ground with a cable or rope and restricts it from rising above a certain height.
The Moon of Seoul placed special emphasis on ensuring safety. The National Aeronautical Technology Institute provided guidance on 56 items, including flight performance and safety management.
The device was inspected and received safety certification from the organization last month. Another advantage is that the device itself is connected to the ground by a cable, making it extremely unlikely to come off in places other than the flight area.
Hong Jang-hee, the pilot in charge of the flight that day, said, "Many people were worried at first that it would be shaky, but it was actually quite stable.
"I hope you'll try out the 'Moon of Seoul', where you can enjoy the night view of Seoul from the air," he said. After undergoing final inspections, the 'Moon of Seoul' will officially begin operation on the 23rd of this month. Boarding will begin on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The flight is open from 12:00 to 22:00 on Sundays (closed on Mondays). The maximum number of passengers per flight is 20, and the flight time is about 15 minutes. On windy days, the flight may be canceled for safety reasons.
The price is 25,000 won for adults (aged 19-64) and 20,000 won for children (aged 36 months to 18).
