Recently, Jinhwa has commented on her claim that Ham SoWon assaulted her. Jinhwa explained in Chinese, and Ham SoWon explained again in Korean. The two have said, "We are both
"It was disgusting. Jinhwa had just started her company and was tidying up the interior. She was moving a heavy painting, so I was trying to help her, but it fell."
He continued, "When Jinhua thought about it, she wondered if I had done it on purpose. At first, she thought that there was nothing wrong with Jinhua, but as she continued to do so, the situation escalated.
"When I went to Jinhwa's place, there was a misunderstanding and she posted that kind of photo. I told her to delete it immediately, but she didn't delete the photo for several hours (because of the error)," he said.
Ham SoWon said, "I explained twice on my story, but some people were curious about the details, so I was worried. I'm only explaining this to my friends on social media."
On the same day, Ham SoWon and JinHwa revealed that they were in fact divorced, explaining that it was "a choice made for (their daughter) HyeJung."
Prior to this, Jinhwa had released a photo of herself bleeding, claiming that she had been subjected to domestic violence by Ham SoWon.
After the controversy spread, Jinhwa posted an apology stating that Ham SoWon is not a bad person.
Ham SoWon and JinHwa broke the 18-year age gap and started dating on October 18, 2017.
After submitting their marriage registration in 2018, the couple became husband and wife. After that, the two shared their daily lives, including their wedding and pregnancy, on TV Chosun's "Taste of Love."
