Suga of the group BTS has posted a handwritten apology for causing social controversy by driving a scooter while drunk.
On the 25th, SUGA posted on the fan community platform Weverse, "On the night of August 6th, after drinking, I was riding an electric scooter on the sidewalk.
"I made a mistake by saying that my initial apology was inappropriate and that it was rude of me to post it in a hurry on the 7th, which caused so much confusion. I should have thought about it more deeply and been more careful, but I failed to do so."
Suga continued, "I will accept any punishment that may be handed down in the future, as well as criticism and reprimands," and "I sincerely apologize once again for causing social controversy and disappointing many people."
I bow my head and apologize." Suga was found to have been drinking when he collapsed while riding an electric scooter on the street in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the night of the 6th.
At the time, Suga's blood alcohol level was 0.227%, and he was reportedly completely drunk. Suga turned himself in to Yongsan Police Station on the 23rd, 17 days after he was arrested for drunk driving, to undergo an investigation.
The official said, "SUGA has admitted to the facts of the charges." SUGA has been serving as a social service officer since September last year and is fulfilling his military service obligation. He will be discharged in June next year.
