Telegram has clarified its position regarding the detention of its founder, Pavel Durov.

Durov was arrested by French authorities at an airport outside Paris on the 24th while on his way to France on a private plane from Baku, Azerbaijan.
He was reportedly arrested on various charges related to lack of censorship on the Telegram messaging app, but there has been no official announcement yet that he has been arrested on criminal charges.
French authorities are scheduled to issue an official statement regarding Pavel Durov's detention on the 26th.
