The yield and size of Chinese cabbage depend on various factors such as the season, variety, and growing environment. If the weight of the Chinese cabbage is not uniform, the salt concentration during pickling will differ, so the kimchi
In response to this problem, the research team developed a sensor that can obtain not only the color (RGB) but also the distance (D) to the target in an image of Chinese cabbage.
Using data from Sir and machine learning techniques, they were able to predict the weight and volume of Chinese cabbage without having to actually measure it.
Analysis of the technique revealed that the accuracy of weight prediction was 91.3%, and that 2D, 3D, and color information was also included.
The accuracy of volume prediction using the integrated model achieved over 90%.
