The Jecheon International Music Film Festival has posted an apology for the firecracker incident. On the 7th, the Jecheon International Music Film Festival published an apology on its official website.
The film festival said, "We sincerely apologize for the concern caused by the special effects-related accident that occurred during the Jecheon International Music Film Festival on September 6th."
He continued, "We would like to express our deepest apologies to those who were injured and their families, and will actively support the victims and their families so that they can recover quickly and heal."
"We will do our best to ensure the safety of the audience and create a good performance environment at the festival," he said, bowing his head.
During a performance at the festival, firecrackers were set off into the audience area. At the time, 2,000 people were in attendance, and 17 people received treatment for minor burns.
According to the Chungbuk National Police Agency on the 8th, an on-site investigation was conducted on the 7th to analyze the location of special effects installation and the structure of the stage facilities at the Jecheon International Music Film Festival event venue.
The police plan to call in a special effects artist named A as a witness for further investigation.
