Korea's short-term crackdown on drunk driving leads to 'massive arrests'
The Jeju Police Agency in South Korea arrested five people in a one-hour drunk driving crackdown on the 10th. The Jeju Police Agency, together with the Jeju Provincial Police Corps, conducted a one-hour crackdown on the 10th from 7:20 pm to 8:30 pm.
Three of the five people arrested had their licenses suspended for having a blood alcohol content between 0.03 and 0.08 percent.
On the 11th, Wonju Police Station in Gangwon Province said, "On the 9th and 10th of this month, the Gangwon Police Agency's undercover patrol vehicles, mobile patrol units and Pyeongchang
"As a result of joint crackdowns with neighboring police stations in Pyeongchang, Hoengseong, and elsewhere, we uncovered 26 cases of drunk driving and 83 violations of traffic laws," the police said.
Of the 26 cases of drunk driving, 17 had their driving licenses revoked and 9 had their licenses suspended.
