”Hidden camera in toilet” controversy... Starfield: ”It doesn't match at all, it's a hoax” = Korea

Recently in South Korea, a rumor spread online that illegally taken photos in the women's restroom at the Starfield shopping mall were being shared online. Starfield responded with,
"We have confirmed that the toilets at all Starfield stores are completely different," the company said. On the 11th, Starfield's official SNS account posted, "A fake Starfield store has been identified as the store.
"An illegally filmed video with the same title was circulating online," the company said.
The video used in the post showed what appeared to be a toilet in the background and a toilet bowl. As such posts caused concern, Starfield responded by announcing
"As a result of the investigation, we have confirmed that the toilets (toilet levers, handles, toilet paper holder ...
"We have confirmed that the toilets in the stores (including the type of toilet paper) do not match those in any of the Starfield stores," the company said.
He continued, "The website where this illegally filmed footage was posted was
"We have taken legal action, including reporting the video to the police for violating the Special Act on Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes and for defamation, and requesting that the video be removed," the statement said.
Starfield said it will take legal action against defamation and spreading of rumors, such as using its name in obscene material.
